Every bite exposes the cobra to the risk of injury. So the cobra follows a strategy of avoidance & escape before resorting to a bite.
When a cobra stands upright with its hood expanded, it gives a defensive warning.
Inflicting a bite & producing venom is very metabolically expensive for a snake. They bite only when they feel threatened or genuinely concerned.
Why do snakes like cobras enter human houses or structures in the first place?
When we find a snake in our home, it doesn't necessarily mean it has a nest there. Snakes generally enter homes while following prey, like rats.
Snakes also serve an ecological function; they keep pest populations like rats in check & even help limit damage to crops & produce.
So the best way to deal with snakes in human habitations is not to physically handle them but to show them an escape route.
Trained snake catchers often guide snakes gently into a tube or dark sack, which causes less distress to the snake & carries less risk of injury to the handler.

The Phone That Kept Recording After Everyone Was Gone 💔
Among the devastation left behind by the Nepal flash floods, a phone was found—mud-covered, damaged, but still carrying a recording.
What it captured is almost impossible to watch.
In the final moments, people can be seen running desperately to escape the approaching wall of floodwater. They were running for their lives, trying to reach safety.
But they could not outrun the flood.
One by one, they disappeared from view.
The people in that video were gone—but the phone remained.
And somehow, it kept recording.
Long after the screams had fallen silent and the people had disappeared, the camera continued to capture the aftermath.
A small piece of technology survived, carrying the last moments of lives that were suddenly and brutally taken away.
Imagine finding that phone.
Imagine pressing play and seeing the final moments of people you may have known and loved.
They ran. They fought to survive. They hoped they would make it. But the flood was faster.
The phone survived.
They did not. 💔
May their souls rest in peace, and may their families find strength to bear a loss that words can never describe. 🙏
We saw how some people were snatching jewellery from the bodies of those who lost their lives.
But here is another man who found gold jewellery in a floating cupboard and is sharing the details so that the rightful owners can be traced.
Kindly share this widely so that the jewellery and other valuables can be returned to their rightful owners.
Message from the finder:
“Upon opening a cupboard that had been swept away by the Trishuli flood, gold, silver, and cash were found inside, along with a bill from Jai Shri Mahalaxmi Gold and Silver Shop. Please contact @NepalPoliceHQ if you have any information.”

Good News,
Dear citizens of world,
All those were praying and worried about what happened to people in the Green House during the catastrophic Nepal Floods
The family and house survived the ordeal.
Terrifying footage shows a flash flood sweeping through the Nepal–Tibet border, trapping people on rooftops and balconies. At least 469 have been killed, with hundreds still missing.
Building this much infra on a riverbed and then expecting nature will change its course !!
CCTV footage of the immigration office located on the Chinese side of the Rasuwagadhi border crossing during today’s disaster.
Prayer for safety of all 🙏🏽🙏🏽
A terrible and tragic flash flood has taken place at Gyirong in Tibet - China, and one of our Kailash groups was caught in it. While on their way back, they were at the immigration office when the flood occurred and the building and much of the town seems to have been flooded.
All of us, including the volunteers and support teams are deeply anguished and are doing our utmost to assist in the rescue. There has been no official information on the whereabouts of any of the people who were at the immigration office. We are working with the authorities to see if we can get to the location and stand ready to be part of the rescue efforts, regardless of the risk involved.
Of the 21 groups who are part of our Sojourn, 495 people have already returned safely. 743 people are currently in Tibet, 148 people are in Nepal, and 77 people were at the immigration center, and 3 volunteers in Timure, Nepal.
To the families and loved ones of those in our group and hundreds of others who are affected in the region, I share your pain and we are sparing no effort during this profoundly difficult time. I am personally in the region to ensure the best can be done in the given circumstances 🙏🏽- Sg
A moment of pure warmth and motherhood at Rashtrapati Bhavan!
Meet Hirbai Ibrahim Lobi, a grassroots changemaker from Gujarat's Siddi tribal community who was honored with the Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu.
Without any formal education, Hirbai dedicated her life to empowering over 700 tribal women through self-help groups, promoting organic farming, and setting up pre-schools (balwadis) for underprivileged children.
When she stepped up to receive her award, she went beyond official protocols to place her hands on the President's shoulders, offering a mother's heartfelt blessing a gesture that won the entire nation's heart.
