@PrayingHagfish@ausar_the Humans aren't really overpowered, at least not in our natural environments that we evolved around. We're just a lot less underpowered than many people expect.
@TianLu51253699 @gudanglifehack We do actually know the ending to this story, the baby didn't even survive the first few hours. The maternal instincts the leopard had to protect the deer faded real fast.
@scarvestarr@gudanglifehack This story is pretty old, and we do have an ending. She did have maternal instincts to take care of the deer, but those instincts didn't last long...
@gudanglifehack What most likely happened is that her maternal instincts briefly kicked in, but as time passed, so did those instincts, because eventually it was clear that this wasn't her baby, and was in fact, food. It wasn't planned, but she did eat that baby deer.
@gudanglifehack This is not a feelgood story, or a tragedy, this is just nature being weird. Odds are, she was trying to take care of the deer, nature is just weird like that. But sadly for the deer, she did kill it like, an hour later, but that was likely not her intention from the start.
@CringeZoology Kodiak Bears (and regular brown bears), Polar Bears, Sloth Bears. And that's just what's alive, because then there's also Actodus, Arctotherium, Steppe Bears, and Cave Bears.
