My aunt, Barbara Ebbess, died Tuesday. Today she would have turned 83. A veteran of @nbcnews, she inspired me to become a TV news journalist. She lived with us for 20 years and was a beloved Grammie to our kids. I am heartbroken she’s gone but very grateful for our time together.

@baconisaspice I do remember the letter writing! I also remember that part of my letter got quoted in the tampa tribune! Eeek! I agree on the overall experience. There were a lot of people who made my life a living hell at that joint. You were a godsend!

@baconisaspice Very true. Although inside wasn’t much better. Punishing students for talking by closing the doors/windows and turning off the air conditioning in 90 degree heat and humidity was also pretty disturbing.

Today my dear former co-worker @LVTomHawley died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Thanks to @MeenGreene I had the chance to share with him what many in the LV news biz already knew, he was one of the good guys. Funny, fearless, and never without a smile. He will be missed.
