While some provisions supporting river restoration are advancing, American Rivers is still disheartened that we didn’t get to see the bipartisan, bicameral public lands and water package. https://t.co/kg71sqlHV8

High winds are continuing to spread across the area this morning. Winds could grow even stronger over the next few hours. Gusts above 80 mph have already been observed on local ridgetops.
Wind alongside rain will bring hazardous driving conditions, especially in wooded areas.
As the year comes to a close, we reflect on efforts to protect the Smith River watershed over the past twelve months and we renew our promise to work hard in the new year to restore and safeguard this special place!

Del Norte High School’s Interact Club brought 38 students to Smith River Alliance’s Adopt-A-Beach Clean-up last month successfully removing 75 pounds of trash along 2.5 miles of coastline in Crescent City. This program is funded from the WHALE TAIL® Grants Program.
