The family of Jayne Hounslow is inviting the community to join a Celebration of Life and Candlelight Walk for Jayne.

The walk will begin at City Hall Civic Square at 7pm, Mon. May 29, and proceed along Ontario St to Nelson Ave, along Elgin St and back to City Hall.

Candles are free provided by the Mayor & Council members.

Special guests will provide music and speak about Jayne.

Jayne was a beautiful, strong soul who loved and cared for people, and regularly wrote notes of inspiration for her friends and cousins. Her determination and generosity were boundless and her smile would light up the room.

To honour Jayne, her family has established an endowment fund with the Burlington Foundation. This Fund will provide accessible recreation, arts, and camp opportunities to local children and youth in need, now and into the future.

Last week we held a retirement celebration to acknowledge Charlene. She joined us in 2007 and was our very first Wellness Program Coordinator. She helped support hundreds of people over the years.
