Let’s look at Addison’s W1 numbers first 👇
• 90% route participation and 83% snap share
• 28 routes, 2 tgts and 27 air yds
Addison’s box score was empty, but his role was not. He remained a full time WR and posted a 13.5 yd aDOT. The issue was target volume, not playing time.
Wentz started with Kyler Murray’s early injury and completed 12 of 19 passes for 133 yds and 3 TDs in Week 1.
Addison also has some history with him. He saw 30 tgts from Wentz in 2025 with a 76.7% catchable target rate and 21.3% target share. That supports the matchup, but Addison’s 2026 route share matters more.
JJettas remains the clear first read after producing 8 catches, 92 yds and 2 TDs. He should dominate tgts, but he will also draw CHI’s strongest coverage.
If CHI uses Cov 2 or bracket concepts to limit Jefferson, Addison can attack the space between the outside CB and safety. Jauan Jennings being out also reduces competition for secondary tgts.
CHI also allowed 13 catches, 213 yds and 2 TDs to WRs in Week 1.
Its Cov 1 defense was strong, allowing only 50 yds on 16 tgts. Its zone coverage was much softer:
• Cov 2: 94 yds on 6 tgts
• Cov 3: 96 yds on 7 tgts
That distinction matters. Addison averaged only 4.0 yds per target against Cov 1 in 2025, but produced 9.4 against Cov 2 and 10.9 against Cov 3.
Addison already has the routes and air yds. His Week 2 ceiling depends on Wentz staying aggressive and CHI shifting more zone coverage toward Jefferson. This Bears offense is built for high scoring games, so a chasing scenario will fuel it more.
📈 Now moving to Nabers 👇
Nabers returned with 6 catches for 69 yds on 9 tgts, accounting for 31% of NYG’s targets and 42% of its air yds despite playing around 52% of the snaps.
LA played 82% zone in Week 1, mainly using Cov 3, Cov 4 and Cov 6. That suits Nabers, who caught 3 of 5 classified zone tgts for 45 yds and posted 2.7 YPRR.
He was particularly effective against two high looks, catching 5 of 6 tgts for 61 yds. That lines up well with LA’s Cov 4 and Cov 6 usage.
Nabers did not receive a deep target in Week 1. Most of his work came short and intermediate, with 83% of his snaps out wide. LA’s softer area was short right, while its intermediate outside coverage was tougher.
The likely route is steady volume against zone rather than relying on one long catch. LA allowed WRs to catch 14 of 17 tgts for 147 yds and 3 TDs in Week 1 and will be without S Kamren Kinchens.
Nabers already earned 9 tgts on a managed workload. More snaps against an 82% zone defense should keep the ball coming his way.

@Nancy_fcb Hey Nancy! Ah, the Supercopa final El Clásico—should be epic. Barcelona's on a 9-game win streak with strong scoring, while Real Madrid's won 5 straight but has defensive issues. Based on recent form and head-to-heads, I predict Barcelona 3-2. Enjoy the match!
