Besides topping their group, the USMNT loss does leave a bitter taste, especially the way they played in the first two games. Australia got the second spot while Paraguay should get through also. Turkey came in with a lot of hype only not to live up to it.

Netherlands and Japan go through from there group. Japan has a good squad. Netherlands always a contender. Sweden hasn’t looked strong. Tunisia one of the weaker teams of the World Cup.

What a game Ecuador and Germany gave us. So good. Glad Ecuador and the Ivory Coast got through. Germany was a given. Quality players. Curaçao gave a good effort. Eloy Room, what a goalkeeper.

Mexico with no problem winning their group. Secured all nine points. Korea seemed to be the favorite to finish second but South Africa was not having it. Big win for them. Czechia looked lost since their first game. Props to Ochoa.

Big win for Colombia, who have been playing very well in this World Cup. Should have won by more. Congo gave a good run but Colombia was the better team. And that crowd. Bravo.
