We have celebrated Scottish Literature at a special assembly today! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌹 Every class learned and recited a song or poem. 📜 #scottishliterature #poetry #scots

To celebrate Book Week Scotland we read Room on the Broom and then used pictures to sequence the story. We had lots of fun playing the Room on the Broom games from the story sack. 📖@SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads

On Friday we celebrated Road Dahl Day by reading an extract from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and analysing key characters🍫

We then created our own characters which we would feel would fit into the book📚

Today we have been reading The Enormous Crocodile 🐊 to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday 🥳

We wrote poems about The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me. In the book Roald Dahl wrote lots of rhymes. ⭐️ @SMOSPrimary @SMOSreads

The children loved reading “The Witches” by Roald Dahl. We explored the language he used to describe the Grand High Witch and then used our knowledge to create artwork. @SMOSreads @SMOSPrimary
