It's crazy how bad my engagement has gotten while I'm trying to build a new project.

Half my friends probably don't even see my posts anymore 😭

Anyway... no point complaining.

I've learned something interesting while building this community.

Holding NFTs and being part of a community are two different things.

Anyone can buy.

Anyone can sell.

That's completely normal.

But trust is earned over time.

Recently, one member of the private holder group sold enough NFTs to fall below the requirement and was removed from the chat.

Some people asked if they could simply buy back in later.

The answer is no.

Not because of the NFTs.

Because of trust.

The private holder group was never about money.

It was never about showing off who owns the most NFTs.

It's about finding people who genuinely want to build something together.

A small group of people who trust each other is worth more than hundreds of wallets that come and go with every price movement.

That's the kind of community I want to build.

In case you’re curious, it’s ok to fail.

I’d largely consider everything I’ve created in web3 to be failed.

No big community, no big volume, pissed people off with my work, etc.

But that’s okay.

Just keep building, eventually something will work right?

I really don’t know what people are expecting from all these new mints.

Read the room. Most of them are 99% art and vibes based.

And yet people don’t even give it a week. A few days later and everyone is up in arms.

I’ve said this before, but this brainrot slop mindset has to die.

You’re going to drive yourself up the wall with this attitude, and you’re also going to get absolutely nowhere with it.

Seen it time and time again. Save yourself the sanity and move on.
