This lady’s thread is the epitome of our culture’s current obsession with being melodramatic.
When I grew up in the ‘80s it was still okay for guys at the high school to have their rifles on a gun rack completely visible through the back windows of their pickup trucks. No drama.
It is racism — offering preferential treatment to a group of people specified wholly by race. It’s absolutely racism.
It assumes that no one of any other race is experiencing financial turmoil.
I’m glad I don’t use @BankofAmerica
2020:
"I've saved all my money. [My daughter] doesn't have any student loans. Am I going to get my money back?"
Warren: "Of course not."
"So you're going to pay for people who didn't save any money and those of us who did the right thing get screwed."
It would be advisable for the USA and Japan to coordinate some return volleys, multi-aircraft sorties, and carrier group transits. The PLA aren’t the only ones that can flip a few rockets in to an ocean.
This thread is rubbish. The supposition is tantamount to saying 80yo people don’t talk to 20yo kids. It may not be as common as 80yos talking with other octogenarians, but they don’t seem to avoid 20yos altogether
Don’t be a sucker and fall for this scheme. If you really want to get rid of your firearm, do a private sale with a responsible adult. Chances are you spent more than $50 on your current one and you shouldn’t fall victim to some virtue signaling for the purposes of a PR stunt.
No.
But we should most definitely increase funding and accountability for mental health evaluations and therapies, as well as for de-escalation trainings for police departments.
@nathaliejacoby1 Agreed. Those cops were cowards and poorly trained. They ought to be compelled to undergo multiple training exercises and a leadership change or forego any grant funds and accreditation outside of their local political structure - which local citizens are accountable for.
@nathaliejacoby1 Yes. Decades ago.
No metal detectors, but armed officer present and random searches of lockers (like maybe five times per year and not all of them; dogs were brought in).
*I don’t support further restrictions for firearms for law abiding citizens
The amount of people that are unaware of thousands of years of history and why the possession of self-protection was guaranteed in our Bill of Rights is embarrassing.
Instead of realizing our culture has a huge problem with violence + mental health, we blame inanimate objects.
You know who still believes in using firearms for personal protection? Nearly every politician from both sides of the aisle and most of Hollywood’s elite. They have privilege and fear assault. Think about that before you let them disarm you and make you a better victim.
Both major political parties use cheap talk to score points. The blues say the reds don’t care about life ‘cause of permissible gun laws. The reds say the blues don’t care because of legalized abortion and permissible drug laws.
Yet here we all are …still giving them our votes.
