@NianticWayfarer This is definitely my favorite accepted nomination. It's located on a very popular hiking trail (former railroad) and is one of numerous mining ghost towns located in the New River Gorge area of West Virginia. One of my favorite areas to hike.

Left to right: Woodbine (Parthenocissus inserta), Japanese Creeper (Parthenocissus tricuspidata), Pacific Poison Oak (Toxicodendron diversilobum), Trumpet Creeper (Campsis radicans) on the top and Peppervine (Nekemias arborea) and American Bittersweet (Celastrus scandens) below.
The other vine species I'm going to attempt to introduce to the woods behind my house in an attempt to provide competition to the Oriental Bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus) that I'm trying to control. It's literally the worst invasive species I've ever seen.
The back flowerbed will be interesting this year since it will have Eschscholzia californica (California Poppy), Papaver rhoeas (Red Poppy), Papaver glaucum (Tulpi Poppy), and Papaver dubium (long-headed poppy) all growing together!
Some Tufted Poppy (Eschscholzia caespitosa) and Coastal Poppy (Eschscholzia californica var. maritima) seedlings are sprouting in the front flowerbed! Also bought some Long-headed Poppy seeds to grow in the back flowerbed too!
@AutumnLugia I still find myself randomly dreaming of ex-friends and other bad people I parted with like 10+ years ago too. It's really weird, I guess the brain never truly forgets people like that. :<
This is another bed I dug out for poppies earlier in the year. Most of these are California Poppies but there's a few Red or Turkish Poppies scattered about. There would be more of those but the ants ate most of the seeds I planted lol. Can't wait until these bloom!
