my wife went to the hospital cos her periods had become unbearable, not normal cramps actual pain that had her curled up on the floor, missing work and throwing up.

she told our doctor: this isn’t normal, something is wrong.

he barely looked up from his notes and said: women just have a low pain tolerance during their cycle. then he asked: are you trying to get pregnant?

she said: no. i’m trying to function.

he chuckled like she made a joke. sent her home with painkillers and zero answers.

do you know that months later, after pushing and insisting, another doctor finally ran proper tests. turns out she had severe endometriosis that had been progressing the whole time. the pain wasn’t in her head, it wasn’t just being a woman like the other doctor said...

it was real, it was diagnosable and it was ignored until it got worse 💔

Had a patient at the clinic i worked at who’s wife had a total hysterectomy and was undergoing treatment for cancer. Patient asked the physician I worked for to write her a note that he needed to have sex for prostste health reasons and she needed to comply. Doc said “Yeah, I’m not doing that, your wife is battling cancer, sex should be the least of your worries”
btw The doc I worked for was a woman..!!

This is very real and costs between 200-300k, depending on how much damage has been done from previous surgeries and treatments or age. The plastic surgeon who does this surgery is based in New York and is an expert in doing ‘everything at once’.

Instead of a regular face lift, they go through and lift every part of the face individually which stops the face from looking ‘pulled’ and instead relocates skin, tissue and fat pads to where they were originally.

When the face is still it looks pretty natural, when it moves it just looks botoxed. Unless you saw the before and afters you would never guess how extreme this surgery was.

This isn’t skincare, lasers, facials or treatments, it’s extreme and expensive surgery. Don’t let these people sell you products that ‘made them look younger’.

This is a very tragic post.

Death of a liver donor is an irreparable loss.

Organ donation saves lives and is a noble and altruistic act.

But not once in my career as a transplant Hepatologist, I have seen a voluntary donation like this one: the woman donated part of her liver to her mother-in-law's sister.

And the cause of death is vague. Details are not clear. Its easy to make assumptions, but very difficult to understand what really happened.

80% of living organ donors in India are women while the men watch.

In my practice, if there are no first degree relatives willing to donate, then the patient goes on the cadaver donation list and onto palliative care. Every donor is interviewed separately for coercion and mental status assessed in depth.

Just today I had a 21 year old woman willing to donate part of her liver to her father while her two healthy elder brothers kept discussing how the post surgery scar will look on their bodies.

This is why all ‘minor’ sex crimes (flashing, peeping toms, revenge porn, voyeurism, etc) should be investigated seriously, quickly, and robustly.

No sex crimes are minor.
