These SNHU students were recognized at today's grade-level assembly for their kindness, spirit, hard work, most improved, as a valuable player, or for their Penmen Pride! Congrats to all!
There were so many winners at today's SNHU End-of-Year Raffle. Tickets were earned for positive actions through May and June, and for point increases on NWEA testing. We are appreciative of donations from Lou's Pastry, Lone Oak, Collectiques, Jetpack Comics, and Natasha's Sweets.
These three SNHU ladies were taking a bow after performing at our annual Talent Show. We were entertained by a piano player, a dancing rollerskater, and a singer. These acts were followed up by open mic acts. We definitely have a lot of hidden talents.
Before heading off on today's field trip to Hilltop Fun Center, the SNHU students participated in a Putting Challenge. Bradley was the only student to get a hole-in-one winning him a $10 gift card to Hilltop!
The SNHU Ambassadors represented our team well at today's 5th Grade Step-Up Day! They gave tours, answered lots of questions, and assisted many students. They were treated to munchkins, pizza, and some PEP tickets. We appreciate that they were willing to give up a day off!
SNHU students, who earned the May reward after being self-starters in all classes, coming prepared to all classes, and being responsible with their Chromebooks, were treated to a game of Human Hungry Hippos. So much fun was had!
These SNHU students were celebrated today for making our last Penmen Pride list of the year in May! They have consistently been role models for other students!
Look at all of these tickets that were earned by SNHU students for increasing their scores on SAS testing. Now they need to sign them all and put them in the schoolwide raffle for a chance to win some pretty awesome prizes!
Please take advantage of Saturday School, this Saturday, 5/9 from 9-12 to get caught up on any necessary school work with support as the end of the year is nearing! The next and last Saturday School will be in May 16.
SNHU students were sent home with a field trip permission slip today. The field trip is to Hilltop Fun Center on June 11, and it costs $20. The back of the permission slips includes trip details, behavior expectations, and a student-in-need fund section.
The students earned a behavior reward of watching Mrs. Hanscom cut Mr. Farrington's hair today! There was a lot of chanting and laughter! What a good sport, Mr. Farrington!
SNHU announced our Penmen Pride list for April. These students, and one absent one, had all work in on time, came prepared to class, and exemplified good behavior. A new list starts after vacation for May Penmen Pride with all students on it.
Today, the SNHU team competed in the 6th Grade Olympics. They worked as a team representing the country of Italy, showed great sportsmanship, and had a lot of fun. They came in third, but they eagerly congratulated the Duke team on their first place finish.
Thanks to your donations, SNHU was recognized for collecting over 100 food items which have been donated to Gerry's Food Pantry through the NJHS Food Drive! We appreciate your support!
Today, the SNHU students learned a lot about their future opportunities through the Technology Center at Spaulding. Student Ambassadors shared their experiences through 17 different stations that cover 6 different career paths. We hope all students take advantage in high school.
The next RMS Saturday School is this Saturday, April 11 from 9am-12pm. If your child is not Competent in all of their classes, please take advantage of this opportunity for additional support, and sign up today.
SNHU rolled out our April behavior focus today: Spring into Action. It is a culmination of all previous rollouts. The expectations are to come prepared to class, be a self-starter, and care for your Chromebook. If they don't receive 3 strikes, they will get a sweet treat on 4/24.
