Evgeni Malkin destroyed the Hurricanes so bad that his curse he put on the franchise is almost approaching 2 decades long.
Since this beauty goal in game 2 of the ECF, the Hurricanes are now 1-15 in ECF games.
Maybe once Geno retires, the curse will be lifted.
Kyle Dubas hired a rookie coach who got nominated for a the Jack Adams, then made several trades and signings which took a team with draft lottery expectations and got them in the playoffs, an 18 point improvement from last year.
If that's not enough for a nomination for GM of the year then the award is broken.
Embarrassing.
Since the trade, the Penguins are 20-10-7.
Nothing about this Penguins team is worse, they're playing their best hockey, it's not dark on this side. We are very happy with where the team is at right now.
Again, the Penguins didn't make the trade to improve their lineup.
"He's 4-4-0"
He joined the Penguins in their worst stretch of the season and he himself was probably a little shaken after an emotional trade.
He started 0-3-0
Since then:
4-1-0
.943%
The 1 loss was 1-0
Skinner's best hockey of the season has come in Pittsburgh.
Crosby is the only player ever to have missed over 50% of his age 23-25 seasons. He missed 64%. (Head/neck) Ages 23-25 historically being the offensive peak for a player.
He’s also the first player ever to have three or more 90 point seasons past age 35.
He’s aging backwards!
