Over a decade ago, my best friend told me one of his YouTube subscribers gave him a few beta keys to a game called SMITE. Without knowing a thing about it, I fell in love with the game and later the people. Now it has turned gaming into my career. I'm glad I got to play my part.
Smite is not your identity, but rather, you gave identity to Smite. No layoff can take that away. Keep that passion, that dedication. It will treat you well. β€οΈ
Ok I may have a bit more to say. I went from HiRez, to pizza delivery and other jobs (for 4 years), to a small indie gaming company, to Blizzard, and now GDQ. The ride in the gaming industry is a wild one, but it doesn't end unless you want it to. There ARE places for you.
Again, im gutted (and furious) for all of the Hi-Rez people. The only thing I can say is that there is a future after Hi-Rez. Please reach out to me if there is anything that I can even potentially help out with.

I hope everyone out here on this hellsite is doing well. Few quick updates:
- Dinged level 40 yesterday.
- Found a new job a couple of months ago.
- Going to be at AGDQ in January. Say hey if you are there.
- Follow me on the other app. Same name.
- Rare pic for proof of life.
