@JulianKlymochko@JulianKlymochko not entirely accurate, it is the amount of money, not time they spend, which I would bet the average consumer spends much more time on OpenAI (or Cluade or Gemini) In which case this is a great because they get better value for their spend! #silverlining
๐ Exciting News: @boodleboxai Introduces Usage-Based Pricing for Higher Education!
As colleges and universities work to provide equitable AI access across campus, two challenges consistently emerge: budget constraints and adoption uncertainty.
We are excited to announce our solution: Usage-Based Pricing which works for higher education. Here is what makes it revolutionary:
True Cost Alignment
- $12 annual access fee per user
- Suspend/remove users at any time (perfect for summer breaks!)
- Low monthly fee, ONLY for active users (ZERO cost for inactive users). The active user cost is far less than the $20-$30 per user per month charged by other platforms
Why This Works
- Our platform uses 80% fewer tokens than typical for chats, allowing us to offer unlimited access to GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini, Inflection AI's Pi, Perplexity, and more at a much lower cost.
What Our Partner Institutions Love
- Start small, expand based on actual adoption
- Suspend accounts during breaks without penalty
- Perfect for phased rollouts across departments
- FERPA-compliant and SOC 2 certified, with HECVAT and VPAT available
After partnering with 110+ colleges and universities and engaging with 3,000+ professors and students in the last 100 days alone, we have learned that serving higher education is not just about providing the best GenAI tools - it is about making them accessible and sustainable for every institution, regardless of size or budget.
The future of AI in education should be collaborative, responsible, and most importantly, accessible to all.
That is BoodleBox's vision.

From VHS to AI: A Thanksgiving Journey Through Time ๐ โฐ
At Thanksgiving ๐ฆ, I am reminded of my days as a West Point Cadet and those long 6-hour bus rides from West Point to Washington, DC ๐. Back in 1990, my entertainment options were limited to watching Lethal Weapon on loop via VHS ๐ผ.
No internet ๐
No smartphone ๐ฑ
No laptop ๐ป
Definitely no AI tools ๐ค.
Fast forward to today โฉ
Studies show AI tools help professionals reclaim 2-3 productive hours daily ๐ - that is 500+ hours annually, or about 40 of those cadet bus rides! ๐
What strikes me the most though, is not just how we are saving time โ, but how we are transforming what was once 'dead time' into productive moments โจ:
That same bus ride today? A mobile office with WiFi ๐ก
Those 6 hours each way? Now prime time for collaboration and creation ๐ฏ
What was once passive viewing time? Now an opportunity for active learning ๐
Tools like BoodleBox enable us to collaborate, create, and learn in spaces we never could before. The ability for me to collaborate with AI on the bus ride down as I tried to learn a new concept in my reading or the ability to collaborate with AI and my classmates as we finished a project so we could enjoy our entire time at home with our family.
Do not get me wrong - Mel Gibson and Danny Glover were great company ๐ฌ. But today, I can choose: spend 4 hours being productive ๐ช AND still have 2 hours for entertainment classics! ๐ฟ Instead of arriving home tired from a long bus ride with a significant amount of work to do.
๐ค Your turn: What's your most memorable 'dead time' experience that today's tech would have transformed? ๐ญ
I HATE MATH!!!!!!!!!!
Those are words that definitely never came out of my mouth as a kid, but I have heard it from other children.
๐ Who says math homework has to be boring?
Here is how AI transformed a good friend's son's learning experience!
I am late sharing this but a few weeks ago Joshua Alcorn who is a good friend that is deeply involved in helping nonprofits, shared the email attached to this post. (Permission obtained to share)
As you can he shared how he witnessed something remarkable: his son, who typically struggles with math, was actually excited about solving word problems.
The secret? Leveraging AI to create personalized math problems featuring his favorite topics.
The results were incredible: ๐ Engagement level went from reluctant to not just enthusiastic but wanting to share his newfound love of math and word problems with his friends at school! ๐ก
Problem-solving time decreased significantly ๐ฏ 100% homework completion (with a smile!)
By meeting children where their interests lie, we can turn challenging subjects into engaging experiences. AI is not just a tool; it is a bridge between what students love and what they need to learn. As educators and parents we may not always have the time nor at the end of the day, the creativity to make those connections.
Fortunately, GenerativeAI and tools like BoodleBox, always have the energy to do so.
Sometimes the most powerful educational breakthroughs come not from pushing harder, but from โpushing smarterโ and making learning personally relevant.
This experience furthers my belief that technology when used creatively and responsibly, can transform resistance into enthusiasm.
Question for my network: How have you used AI or technology to make learning more engaging for your children or students?
Share your success stories below! ๐
Generative AI has a sense of humor??????????
OK maybe it does not have a sense of humor but it is capable of looking at your cartoons and explaining them!
Last week I posted several examples of how to use the new image analysis (not image generation) feature in BoodleBox.
I gave examples on
1๏ธโฃ Analyzing confusing posted parking restriction signs
2๏ธโฃ Solving a physics problem
3๏ธโฃ Determining what can be made from a picture of your open refrigerator
While I had many people thank me for the ideas which spurred other ideas for them, I did get asked what were the most recent ways I actually used the image generation as I have told people repeatedly that I not only use BoodleBox weekly or daily but most days I use it hourly.
So I decided to take a few examples from this past weekend and share them with you.
1๏ธโฃ My father sent me a cartoon joke (yes he is retired and spends his day sending me a variety of these which I of course appreciate so greatly). My six year old son asked what it meant. While he could read the joke he has never seen a record and I think he only saw a cassette tape during our last move when we were cleaning house to make the move easier. Rather than me trying to explain it to a six year old, I asked BoodlBox to do it for me. (SEE COMMENTS)
2๏ธโฃ Then this weekend my son received a new Millennium Falcon Lego set he has been asking for and started asking about each of the characters and when they appear in Star Wars. I have to admit my Star Wars game is not as strong as it should be, but BoodleBox had my back.
3๏ธโฃ I have been a loyal Vivino user for years when I want information about wine, but with the BoodleBox ability to bot stack and have multiple AIs collaborate to bring me feedback, I may be switching.
The chats I did for all three of these use cases are to follow
So for those who asked, these are just a few ways I used image analysis in my daily life this past weekend.
I welcome your feedback and more so welcome the ways you are using the image analysis.
I am honored to join the American Society for Artificial Intelligence at their 2024 Annual Meeting
The American Society for Artificial Intelligence (ASFAI) is a private nonprofit organization.
Their mission is to make the world a better place with AI. They achieve this by bringing together the top minds in AI twice a year in a private and collaborative gathering. These summits foster dialogue-rich discussions in an intimate, off-the-record, and collaborative experience to connect and create a positive impact.
I am honored and excited to connect with others who are just as passionate about harnessing AI to drive positive change, while also exploring the ethical implications of our work. I look forward to learning from the other members as well as sharing insights on collaborative AI.
The world of AI is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and being in a room filled with innovative thinkers who are shaping the future is both a privilege and a responsibility, I appreciate both!
