@SirEvanAmato Wow I'm pretty surprised how light the musical technique is for a late Romantic work. It's lovely after all the heady heavy Verdi and Wagner works that is typical of the period.

@AndNapoleon @mcribbHistory On reading contemporary accounts/memoirs, any thoughts on those who wrote memoirs during the Restoration because I've seen commentary that those memoirs are dubious and unreliable because they are appealing to the ultras.
