THE IMPUDENCE!!!!!!!!!
Today, is one of the most annoying days in my life.
The road worthiness of my salon car will be expiring tomorrow. So, I initiated the process for a new one since Wednesday.
When I went to the DVLA office today, I was told that my car has been suspended/blocked. Thus, the process cannot continue unless the issues around it is resolved (by paying penalties).
I probed further to know the charges against me. These are my charges for a false story they claim I had with some security officials on 9th July 2024:
1. I drove without a driver's license (which is false; I have a valid one)
2. I drove recklessly (which is false)
3. No reflectors on my car (it could be true-I had changed my front and back bumpers)
4. No fire extinguisher (which is false- I have one)
5. I drove under the influence of alcohol (the most annoying claim). I have never tasted alcohol before in my life.
If this is what state agencies like Ghana Police Service and DVLA are cheating on citizens, is it fair????
How can you put across all these lies just to raise IGF for your institutions?
You are collecting 220 cedis for each charge (total---1,100 cedis).
I asked them to print out the charge form for me to also take steps in defending myself. But, they feel reluctant to do so.
They said I should present the car in question to them on Monday. I surely do so.
But, one thing is for sure!!! They have to prove to me that:
1. I was stopped and my car inspected by the Police.
2. I was driving under the influence of alcohol.
I want to sue them for defamation of character. What do think????
One of the most dangerous junctions in Kumasi, Atonsu Fabi Junction.
The traffic light was malfunctioning for nearly 2 years.
Thanks to the able Regional Minister, @DrAmoakohene , the junction is now safe for drivers and pedestrians.
