17 New Volunteers attended the FAM this weekend with Essex ACF. An insightful experience for all, with all wishing to continue. Exciting times ahead as we participate in the new Adult Training Pilot Scheme. Roles and Responsibilities being delivered by 2Lt @Beth_Wells_

@4d_s5 @c_dodson_thatch They were remounted a few years ago, by a friend (Dans Medal Mounting) in Colchester, so of course all new ribbons.

For me, the GSM NI was issued in 1998. Kosovo 1999. Queens golden jubilee 2002. IRSM 2003, and CSM-A 2008. All original and engraved 👍🏻

@ManfacilityW @ComdtEssexACF @VnF_LP @EssexACF @CTOEssexACF @bigphilcampion Will capture the round, rather than it exploding on impact with the 'old BFA'. This new BFA, they say will capture up to 3 live rounds, mitigating serious/lethal injury, should ammunition, not be thoroughly checked, prior to use. Sounds bizarre, but that's the reason 2/2

That 'ball' looking thing on the end, you're referring to, is the 'bullet catcher'. New safety system allows, in the unfortunate and exceedingly rare circumstance of a live round being fired 1/2
