Daily Reflection:

We learned that we had to fully concede to our innermost selves that we are Alcoholics/Drug Addicts. This is the first step in recovery. The delusion that we are like other people, or presently may be, has to be smashed.

14 days sober. It’s not been easy but I am thankful for each day. I have been feeling much much better and my mental clarity is better than it was when I was drinking. Stay the course and find positive thinks to focus on.

I found that I had a calling to help my fellow hackers/makers/CyberSecurity family members. This Twitter account will be to allow for open and honest communication about the struggles with addiction and to create a space to communicate with our retribution. More to come!

As a Marine Corps Vetern and CyberSecurity executive I found my self using alcohol and drugs to offset my stress. In reality I was compounding the problems I faced daily. I felt ashamed and alone as I didn’t know where to turn. As I explored my options and found sobriety 1/2
