The “separation of church and state” was meant to stop government from regulating religious preferences. In other words, promote freedom.

But freedom means that we are also free to embrace our beliefs, and even be fanatical about them, as long as we don’t try to enforce those beliefs (especially using government power) on others. So, it went both ways.

Unfortunately, this idea has been turned on its head. The fanatic left views itself as “secular” and therefore not a religion. In other words, it wants to use government to impose its fanatical views of the world on others, while arguing that any push-back from religion or freedom-lovers is banned because of the separation of “church and state.”

It’s time to declare secularism a religion…because that is what it is. A fanatical belief in climate change, or masks, or pronouns, or victimology, or identity politics that is trying to impose its views on others, using the power of government.

We need separation of “secular fanaticism and state.” No tax dollars should ever be used to impose an ideology (which looks like a religion), on others. For example, some student loans, which fund a lot of this on college campuses, have been forgiven. In other words, tax dollars are being used to help pay for fanaticism. That’s wrong.
