I’m incredibly honored that voters have given us the opportunity to advance to the general election for Mayor of Los Angeles.
To the thousands of supporters who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, donated, and opened their homes for events across the city, and to everyone else who made this moment possible: thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Now our fight for a healthier, safer, more affordable, and more joyful Los Angeles continues. For too long, City Hall has prioritized giving political advantage to powerful interests that fund elections. Meanwhile, working people pay the price in higher rents, depleted services, and a city that has stopped working for them.
If you’re as frustrated by the broken status quo as I am, I hope you’ll join our movement to build a city that works for everyone.
@pubity Because it is a hellscape dominated by impossible living expenses and all the jobs going to low IQ immigrants and illegals with heavy government subsidies and loans.
In the minds of California Democrats everything is a “threat to Democracy” except for: third parties collecting limitless ballots, no ID verification, votes left unattended in ballot boxes which may or may not be set on fire, ballots cast by drugged out homeless people, and a month long after Election Day counting period so opaque it would make poll workers from the former Soviet Union blush.
The first time I saw this happening was with the Al Franken Norm Coleman election years ago. He just magically receives the exact number of ballets from some poll workers car at 2am and it put him in the senate. It should've been a bigger news story.
The LA Mayor race is all but over.
Nithya Raman destoys everyone in Sat 6/6 vote drop.
23,514 Raman
19,312 Bass
10,336 Pratt
She is now only 7,500 votes behind Pratt and might make them up in the next drop.
Very odd that she continues to gain on Bass.
@GazeWindward HOW is this even happening? I've hired people on Upwork overseas with no issue. Sure, they're probably getting help but at least they get the job done. But then we have people coming here by the thousands with low IQs cheating the system.
Nobody in tech can honestly say H1Bs aren't a problem because each of us has at some point had to explain basic Linux terminal commands to an L4 engineer who smelled crazy.
@chris_kratovil They still have 24/7 run places, just windowless factories and fulfillment warehouses, moreso than before. That's so much better than having 24/7 Walmarts and grocery stores!
@AlanRMacLeod@nytimes She was never elected. if you think america is sexist, try Mexico, the entire country is even more sexist than the reddest of the red counties in the U.S.
Never seen one sign, one bumper sticker, not even any mainstream news coverage of Xavier Becerra. Who the hell is this guy and why will he be the next imperial appointment for the occupied provence of California?
@LaurenWitzkeDE Nothing faster for collecting social benefits for disabilities than cleaning a plugged-in lawnmower 😂
The whole video is about third-worlders trying to act like us and having no idea what they are doing, while all the white people look and think, "WTF is wrong with them?"
What most foreigners don’t know is that in 1988, Brazil established the most progressive constitution in world history.
They think Brazil became a narco-state because crime simply overpowered the state—being stronger and controlling more regions or people by thriving financially.
Which is a huge lie. The police can easily enter any favela and arrest any criminal. The real key issue stopping Brazil from becoming safe is the Justice system. Once a criminal is jailed, they are granted all kinds of protections and aid through international NGOs and their lobby with the Brazilian left and the judiciary.
Today's Brazil faces problems deeply correlated with the exact same ones affecting Europe and North America.
John McCain caused a near mid-air collision in training that ended up breaking the back of a pilot, ending his career.
He also started a deck fire that killed several people.
After being captured, all accounts of fellow prisoners say he was a turncoat POS.
John McCain is not taught about in SERE school. Many heroes are, for their conduct in captivity.
John McCain is not a hero. He was a piece of shit, until the end.
His last act was betraying his country and peddling the fake Steele Dossier to try and take down President Trump.
Fuck John McCain.
