If the theater is good and protects the crew, the designer gets 15 minutes before they are told to stop. If the theater is weak, no one protects the crew, and the operators have to say no and risk criticism or termination. 11/?

In order to begin on stage at 11am, the actors arrived at 10:30 in order to get into costumes, wigs, and makeup. If it’s Tuesday, it’s potentially the first time they’ve seen any of that stuff outside of brief fittings. 3/?
