Healthcare workers converted a hockey arena into a vaccination clinic.
After getting their shot, people started leaving sticky notes behind, as an encouragement for others.
The notes now go around the entire hockey rink.
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School in @St_Catharines recently hosted a "Crazy Sock Day" and raised an amazing $300 for Socks for Change! Thank you to the students, families, staff and friends for your generous support!! #endpovertyfeetfirst
Even more alarming is that it's creating an even greater crisis for families who are already living in poverty and trying to find more affordable housing in Niagara.
Why do we celebrate the alarming and skyrocketing home prices in Niagara? Housing (owning and renting) is becoming unaffordable for so many in Niagara. Prices are not reflective of our local economy, but are driven by outside influences. Why celebrate that? It’s sad.
