@SOCOEHS@rehis Sadly Scotland's local authority Trading Standards services are in a worse state with almost 60% over 50 and less than 4 TSOs per council on average. Two previous reports by @unisontheunion in 2012 and 2015 @unisonscot having had no effect. @CTSI_UK@COSLA
Years and years of short sighted cuts to local government are affecting our ability to cope in this crisis. Announcing extra work for environmental health teams means the government needs to provide money so they can deliver https://t.co/yTfHKTdXTy
Extra covid/brexit funding announced. The long term EH sustainability is the real worry with approx half the EHO resource over 50 yrs old. It takes 5 years to educate and train an individual to present at the professional @REHIS exams and qualify. https://t.co/DEFV7TN9Od
