In 2016, President @JDMahama said Ghana was spending US$200 million annually importing sugar. To reduce those imports, the government invested US$35 million to reconstruct and revive the Komenda Sugar Factory.
Ten years later, the factory has been overtaken by weeds.

A concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) personnel has expressed frustration over the conditions facing this year’s service personnel, accusing the government of treating them unfairly.
The individual claimed that repeated deductions are being made from their allowances to cover expenses many personnel are not involved in, adding that payments are often delayed and arrive with unexplained deductions already made.
