So I did some poking around to verify everything.
The one official article about this I could find in English doesn't actually cite sources - only reddit posts. But it does have one graphic in it that I did a reverse image search on. THAT leads to a Chinese website in which
@estell_exe I totally agree that this shouldn’t be considered cheating, but I think tha main reason artfight does this is to push away from artists reusing the same 1 or 2 poses one might use to spam attacks.
Perhaps this would be worded differently so to still allow this form of referencing
@RixorAmsel@Schaffrillas consent should still be a concern, again if all artist consented to help train the machine and get paid whenever it is used, then it would be ok, when corporations actually care for both the audience and working staff its use case will be humane and proper.
@RixorAmsel@Schaffrillas I feel like it really doesn't matter how good it would look like, or how much time it takes, the source of its training is the main problem, what information fed it, which artists consented to have their work used for it, or how much are they not paid for the AI's work.
This are drawings from when I was a child, from which I gained a lot of experience and love for the arts.
Thank you for inspiring, Akira Toriyama.

Used all my life savings to survive 2yrs while I animate 14-18hrs/day, 7days/wk, for the duration of production. Also paid out of pocket thus far spending 35k. Not accounting for my time, budget of this film is 35k. No savings left & need help finishing! https://t.co/JgB2FRdFr3
