We fully respect U.S. national security priorities. At the same time, we hope students can be given an opportunity to pursue the education they have worked so hard to earn.

These students are not asking to bypass security requirements.They are asking for a fair opportunity study

We respectfully call on both the U.S. and Nigerian Governments to consider the plight of these students and ensure that those with legitimate academic opportunities are not left behind.

More than 180 days have now passed since the proclamation took effect. As the U.S. Government reviews these restrictions, we respectfully urge consideration of appropriate exemptions or a clear pathway for international students with genuine university admissions and legitimate

Many have been forced to defer their admissions. Some have lost fully funded scholarships, GTA/GRA positions, and other opportunities they worked extremely hard to secure. Others have been unable to defer because of their universities’ policies.
