@SleeperAgent01@hornby What’s making you suggest that this image is AI? Tom Connell is a bonafide artist, albeit a digital one rather than using paint and canvas. Nothing looks amiss to me unless I’m missing something?
@TidmouthYard Have you thought about doing something like 9 on the left and 10 on the right of the blue one, and 9 on the right and 10 on the left of the black one? You’d technically have them both in both liveries and could still pose them next to each other/double heading
@Nugget77744 @SamTheTrainFan Duffield Bank Railway’s ‘Muriel’ which River sort was rebuilt into, although the only bits from the original locomotive are the frames, driving wheels, cylinders and valve gear
@RealMaxtheJ13 Plus to make the minefield even worse, try navigating around the different fender heights, body width/height/length, riveted or welded construction, with or without water scoops, then there were the earlier Deeley tenders which look very very similar, etc!
@RealMaxtheJ13 Originally built, vents in coal space and no coal rails. Then coal rails added to increase coal capacity. Then vents moved to be behind coal space to try to solve an issue with coal dust getting in the water. Fire iron rack, pass!
@TheRedJinty@Garrettthederg Out of the LBSCR locomotives built under Billington, only the K class lasted as long as the E2s, both of which were withdrawn during the last few years of BR southern region steam operations. Plenty of other pre-grouping locos didn’t last much past 1951.
@EdwardKing02 https://t.co/hpTMMp9fgO I’ve seen a lot of railway/railroad modellers use these water slide decals which have small resin dots that represent the rivet heads. They can be cut into strips as large or small as you need and applied the same way as any other decal.
@neil_hhb @LiamSudrian @ExpressRhubarb All good suggestions, plus if you fancy either scratch building chassis or adapting 00/HO gauge chassis to fit, Worsley Works have a good range of etched brass body kits for Talyllyn, Corris and Ffestiniog coaches, which might be useful for SR & MSR stock
@SudrianRails Love it! Reminds me of the pairs coaches on the Isle of Man Steam Railway, which are basically 2 4-wheel coaches joined together on a bogie under frame, like in this 16mm scale Accucraft model
@MysteryMan_17 @shunting_yard@SoundCloud@SCsupport I thought it was just my account as I’ve had loads in the past, I didn’t realise how widespread this issue is! Hope it settles down for you.
