A fab opportunity to speak about what GP workforce solutions need to look like in Parliament, thanks to @jkaffash @pulsetoday@sofialind_Pulse & @RebuildGP
It’s as simple as starting with redirection of resource at a PRACTICE level

Please don't miss: @elizagparr's excellent drilldown into the current risks and guidance for GPs supervising physician associates https://t.co/NbcuarHTkc
'Without this regulated – statutory – scope of practice, it begs the question how any PA can be held to account without their error ultimately being a doctor’s fault.' https://t.co/6OTFDpqakX #physicianassociates#editorial#GMC
As of today, this is how women must dress in Afghanistan, according to the Taliban's Supreme Leader.
The following rules are now in effect: The full face must be covered—no hands, nothing visible. The black veil was presented as a "recommendation" a year ago, now it is the law.
From a quick glance at my timeline it seems that Brighton, Sheffield, Walthamstow, Liverpool and Newcastle all said a big fat nope to racism… did I miss any?
I’d like to talk about my Dad.
He came to England from India at age 17.
He had a brutal childhood- he’s refused to talk us kids about it but part of his childhood involved living on the streets as a child in India
Coming to England saved his life. Literally.
He has worked - shop keeper, then taxi driver & has contributed to tax his whole life here. He refused to charge people for his taxi service when they visited hospitals, students who felt unsafe walking at night etc. He worked 7 days a week, and we lived month to month.
My Mum, at the age of 64, still works full
time as an insurance broker & has also paid tax her entire working life.
My Dad retired at the age of 70 during the pandemic as he was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully he’s currently in remission 🙏
As soon as he was given the “all clear” he could finally pursue his dream - to feed those in need.
At the age of 70 he asked my Mum to teach him how to cook.
Every Tuesday he buys food to feed about 100/200 homeless people a week. He wakes up at 3am every Wednesday to cook the food, package & distribute it with a team of volunteers who also provide them warm clothing, cut their hair etc with nothing but love.
The volunteers are from all backgrounds, all colours, all ethnicities as are the people they serve.
He is the kindest, most compassionate person I know. To have people judge him based on the colour of his skin breaks my heart beyond measure.
Can't say this enough; Elon Musk's menace to democracy is intolerable. He's using the largest & most influential platform in the democratic world to stoke racial conflict and civil breakdown - in his own posts & what X promotes. Democracies can no longer ignore this.
A shout of profound support & virtual hugs to every GP GPN PM & practice staff members…
Who may be feeling unsafe in their home, workplace, town, community & country at this foul and febrile time due to the actions of moronic animals, and the scum goading them.

I’m proud that people from nearly 200 countries work in our NHS.
I completely condemn this racist violence and stand with our staff and the communities they live and work in. Thank you to our emergency services who are working hard to keep everyone safe.
Peace be upon us all towards each other and from the 70,000 angels that watch over everyone who tends to the sick. Proud and blessed to be a British Muslim and a GP. We will not be divided. Love our NHS❤️
