I am deeply saddened by the passing of Margaret Swann, a true pioneer and World Champion who helped lay the foundations of our sport on the global stage.
Beyond her remarkable achievements on the field, Margaret will be remembered for her humility, her love of the game, and the way she inspired and connected with generations of athletes, always leading by example.
On behalf of the international softball community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, teammates, and all those in Australia and around the world who were touched by her life.
