“💫Added a Main Story review button. For cleared story stages, tap to review the stage synopsis.” 💀💀💀 it better be because you are about to add a huge main story update for Caleb ‼️‼️‼️‼️
I've seen some discussions about changes in the Calebmc dynamic or whether Caleb is no longer "阴湿 yam sap." So I want to share my own opinions as a CN ver player, they may not be 100% correct, but perhaps they offer a new perspective 👉👈
First, the conclusion: From the perspective of plot development and narrative design logic, Calebmc dynamic has not changed for now, and Caleb's own personalities remain unchanged as well.
To understand Caleb's traits: "阴湿" is not simply "fierce" or "controlling." Although we can see a clear dark and possessive vibe in storylines like Tainted Cuts, people often overlook Clearwind Glide. When Caleb and MC are preparing to spend a night in a cave, Caleb can't help but hold her hand and tell her that it would be wonderful if they could stay here undisturbed. His tone and expression were definitely 阴湿 at that time. And when dragonflies are mentioned, they also reflect his desire for control over life and even the entire world.
These details are manifestations of his 阴湿 personality.
On the other hand, in the Imperial Thronesong storyline, compared to Linkon Caleb, the High Marshal has much lower boundaries. He overly indulges mc (for example, agreeing to kiss and have sex with her when he turns 18, buying her gifts after he starts school, etc.), which leads mc to explode at him whenever he doesn't quite comply with her wishes. Although he continues to engage and interact with her each time, he also clearly states his stance: "I am not a bird you can cage." They argue several times, and Caleb appears very assertive, but he chooses not to take coercive action against mc.
Therefore, the expression of a 阴湿 personality does not have to lie in outward fierceness, but in words and actions under conflict or specific circumstances. Even in a peaceful setting, he can say something that may fit his 阴湿 personality. (1/2)
Oh, so you have ADHD and heavy periods, but your doctor never checked your iron?
My friend, you cannot make dopamine without iron
And your body is just ejecting that mineral every month
@hkaitune It's definitely an angle where his body is angled towards the camera and he's doing an athletic thing that flexes some muscles and things so his body looks particularly impressive. But yeah, he's always been built like a brick house.
510 days since Caleb’s MS update. That’s longer than Day 1 players waited for his return. We have been more than patient for what should be a critical lore update, what are you guys doing with it? @Love_Deepspace
Where. Is. Our. Colonel.
@707tgjjkn I can't blame Viper for being unable to resist teasing him about it lol. Like come on, Caleb, you're certainly not going to look me dead in the face and insist you're TOTALLY NORMAL about MC, are you? He's so cute, actually.
The Great Larping Debate of 2026 Twitter is just the logical endpoint of what I've been talking about forever, which is that some people clearly just get into things to roleplay characters and make tumblr template memes rather than engaging with a creative work
Do y'all not reread your own fics? Like I reread shit I wrote all the time. Cause I wrote that shit for me.
I think when we say we write for ourselves, it really means, we wrote things without the worry of "Is this a popular trope, will this go viral, is it trendy"
@707tgjjkn I think it's weird how often people get Raf wrong because he's not THAT complicated. He certainly verbalizes his feelings better than arguably any of the other love interests. I'd vote him most likely to actually tell you how he feels even if it's crazy.
@707tgjjkn Zayne would like you to think that he's chill. It is a lie. He's a menace blessed with the kind of deep, soothing voice that belies his bottomless capacity for mischief.
The most manipulative but effective thing I’ve ever done in my life was when I read an article about how children moderate their behavior to protect their self-identity, so if a child believes he’s smart, for example, he’ll intentionally study and try to do well to protect his image of himself.
Anyway, I would pull kids aside with behavioral issues at church and tell them, “David (obviously fake name), you’re such a kind person and such a good listener. I can see that in you. Thank you for always listening.” “Little Annie, thank you for taking such good care of the babies around you. You’re going to be such a good big sister. Can you be in charge of watching Sally?”
They would ALWAYS behave afterward. ALWAYS. Worked like a charm. Morally questionable because it wasn’t initially true, but I kind of willed it into existence. Tbf, I did think that they had that in them or I wouldn’t have tried.
Will publish longitudinal results of this method once my kid is old enough to report back.
This is an anti-art statement because it is trying to separate gameplay as some foreign aspect unrelated to story despite games making the stories for the gameplay and gameplay enhancing the story. It is the equivalent of judging Shakespeare on reading his plays rather than -
