Me: Why did anyone ever argue with my Igbo people when they said they’re the original Jews. I grew up watching our fathers indulge in this exact same practice, for atonement. Our native doctors (the real ones - not the fake okite criminals) did this routinely for families and individuals back in the days. The chickens would sometimes be hung on a stake, upside down.

Church called it Old Testament idolatry and kicked against the practice, but it’s entrenched and still happens till this day in many quarters.

So much to unlearn about history.
