@BjorkBrodern Bodyshop satsuma lotion is your friend.
Can confirm mosquitoes will avoid it.
Of course, they'll find the bit behind your ears where you forgot to put any...
@evil_ed_1@11975MHz They still do. My wife's laptop used to cut off 10 minutes into Teams calls. I switched off all is those settings and the timing changed.
Turns out it needs the new Windows 10 driver. On Windows 11 ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@SamaHoole Calgary City Council uses them for weed removal in a couple of its parks.
Seems like a good idea - chemical free and they seem to do a good job. It's a shame they don't expand it to other parks.
@odinsbadeye@Devon_Eriksen_@Sr_GomasII The Challenger 2 has built-in tea making facilities, and is therefore the best tank in the world:

๐
@Devon_Eriksen_@Sr_GomasII I'll repeat the advice my mechanic in the UK gave me & which I've passed to my kids:
"You want something big enough that if you're in a crash, you're the one walking away saying 'Wow, that was bad', while they're still cutting the other poor bastard out from under you"
@owenbroadcast I know people who've eaten bear - apparently the taste is affected by its diet. So a countryside bear that's spent its life eating berries, fruit etc tastes good.
One that was a bit too close to people and ate through their garbage, not so good ๐ค
@The_East_End Digging through google lens, apparently it marks the boundary of the City of London and the Liberty of Norton Folgate. According to surveys it says:
THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED TO MARKTHE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF LONDON 1846
@EricRichards22 You probably haven't seen it yet, but wait until he confronts the barrister about the report to the council in one of the later series. In front of everyone in the council.
It made the papers, because of course it did. The guy deserved no sympathy.
@hthieblot The Register
When it had British reporters, and a corresponding sense of humour mixed with the level of respect people and companies they wrote about deserved.
@som3thingwicked@SandyofCthulhu Looks about right....
When the kids fall over, they look around to see your reaction. "Oh dear come to Mummy" vs "Oh, nearly made it! You're ok!" Makes a LOT of difference ๐ค
@EricRichards22 I have bad news: got an A in O level Graphical Communication. My printing is fine. My handwriting is proof that engineers' handwriting is second only to doctors in clarity ๐ค
@som3thingwicked@SandyofCthulhu I once read it was masculine vs feminine parenting. Feminine was "Don't climb that tree you'll get hurt!". Masculine was "Climb the tree, be careful. I have bandaids" ๐ค
@aitkendm@SandyofCthulhu Moving to Canada from the UK was similar - UK railways have 8' spiked fences all around to stop thieves and accidents. Calgary has signs saying "Danger - Trains" & chain link fence in downtown car parks, so you don't put your car too close to the track.
We like it ๐
@SandyofCthulhu Definitely - The Pink Panther films were great.
I'm originally from the UK - I always though Being There was written for American humour ๐ค
@SandyofCthulhu I definitely missed the point of Being There when I was in my early teens. Maybe it's a difference been UK and US humour, but I just thought it was really sad ๐ค
@DenisGajcew@James_M_South@SixLabors So many people seem to think "non-profit" is virtuous, and pretty much the same as a charity.
Nobody seems to point out they're totally different.
