@CHHoodlum@NCAA You can't be serious. How do other kids afford college? You honestly believe that every person on a hockey roster is on scholarship? Do you have any clue how much money those parents paid for hockey prior to college? I do, and I count the days until all I have to pay is tuition.
@hockeylogic@MNState0fHockey When did the NCAA’s mission become player development for billion dollar organizations?? The NCAA exists for student athletes, if the NHL wants development, pony up and create a development system….oh wait…
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey Of a season. Maybe they let Bruce talk to other teams after the season, maybe they don’t. Bottom line they both signed a contract. Until they do something inconsistent with the contract I’m not faulting them. Is it how other teams operate, no. Does that make it wrong? Also no.
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey I never said they win because they are cutthroat. I said they are consistent. It follows a pattern of how they conduct business. They operate differently than everyone else. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. So far it has for them. They are in the middle…
@fjwilmer5@nitzp@AlexMicheletti I’d argue Minnesota high school hockey is no longer about development. Most of the big name teams import and recruit players. Youth hockey = development, high school not currently. Maybe this will change it but doubtful.
@AlexMicheletti@paulbunyan97 Ready for college hockey in its currently form, probably not wrong; but it’s about to get a whole lot younger. Then they will be ready. You guys make this so complicated because it upsets the status quo.
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey How they treat Cassidy is consistent with how Foley conducts business. You want them to be different for some pyrrhic victory. You want to ignore the consistency. That’s not how successful organizations work, something you’ve demonstrated escapes you.
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey That’s funny considering the post you commented on originally talks about how they treat employees yet still remain a top destination for coaches and players. I’m sorry you lack the intellect to understand that means how they conduct business.
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey They’re winning because of how they conduct business, so I’m glad you recognize that, even if you were being sarcastic. This is part and parcel to how they conduct business.
@LaceBite@paulhockey16@TopDownHockey When you want to be like everyone else, you end up like everyone else. There is a reason Vegas is winning and it is tied directly to NOT being like everyone else.
