@smittenssleepy@OomfOfAnOomf because a character doesn't have to be overtly sexualized to be designed for male appeal. Paige isn't sexualized either, yet she has a ton of porn mods. Calico doesn't. there's a pattern here, and if you've played LoL or Overwatch long enough, it's pretty easy to spot
@smittenssleepy@OomfOfAnOomf i never even used the word “sexualization” in my post. the point is that she's a character designed to appeal to a male audience. that's why her design feels so “safe”
@deadlockesport since the game isn't even out yet, i can totally see them retconning Pocket into being nonbinary just to appease the fandom. but it's still a retcon. he looks and sounds like a man, anyone seeing him for the first time would naturally use he/him
i think LoL characters have like 20-30 voice lines at best + legendary skins, and some characters only have one legendary skin. Deadlock characters have 1 800+ voice lines. ome lines repeat but they still tell you so much about the characters' personalities
@OomfOfAnOomf she'd be more popular if she were a man, they just don't understand... an average asian woman is basically Riot's default character design
surprised ppl still don't get it. this is literally why i haven't liked hero from the last two updates. i started playing when Doorman was added and i actually HAD A REASON. #Deadlock is starting to develop the same problems Dota 2 has. (1/?)
oh right, i forgot the "creature" characters in #Deadlock are ALWAYS male. they take up the male slot every time.
but sure, let's ignore that. in 5 years we'll have 2 hot male characters and 20 hot girls and call it normal
