And answer the call of the drum

Your comments are deeply disturbing.
President Machel died in South Africa coming from a meeting in Lusaka which concerned itself about the liberation of the oppressed people in South Africa and elsewhere. This is deeply revealing of the type of politics you and your party advance. Peace loving South Africans know that the costs of freedom was borne not only by South Africans, the frontline states like Mozambique also paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
This is grand ignorance, the kind we do not expect from African political leaders.
Samora Machel died on South African soil, in a crash long blamed on the apartheid regime, because he stood with your liberation movements.
Yet a South African politician seeking public office tweets such ignorant drivel. This is beyond embarrassing. It is deeply disappointing.
Sadly, these are the leaders who get elected to run councils, provinces and, God forbid, countries, carrying such shameful ignorance with them.
Thirty-four people died in the plane crash that killed Samora Machel at Mbuzini on 19 October 1986. They paid with their lives because Mozambique stood with South Africans in the fight for their freedom.
Today you seek political office and speak with contempt about that sacrifice. What a shameless man you are.
What a day to be teaching about Mass Nationalisms and Anticolonial Movements in Africa: in memory of Baba Samora Moisés Machel.
