Watching the left rush to defend Fauci right now is honestly fascinating, because what exactly is being defended?

Fauci himself acknowledged that the six foot distancing guideline was not based on science (he fucking made it up), that masking policies were not effective, and that children faced a much lower risk from COVID than the "experts" portrayed.

At the same time, he took credit for helping close schools; decisions that contributed to learning setbacks, developmental challenges, speech delays, and a serious mental health crisis among young people.

Did you know that during the COVID period, youth suicide numbers exceeded COVID deaths among young people? That is a fact that deserves more attention.

And the consequences went beyond schools. The lockdown policies contributed to increases in alcohol abuse, drug abuse, overdoses, and domestic violence. Hundreds of thousands of small businesses were forced to permanently close, contributing to one of the largest wealth transfers in modern history.

Then there were the vaccine mandates. How many hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of people lost their jobs because they refused to take a vaccine they believed was neither safe nor effective? The vaccine requirements went too far, especially when they were tied to employment and access to everyday life.

Fauci himself said he wanted "to make life so difficult for the unvaccinated that they would have to lose their ideological bullshit and take the vaccine". That isn't science. That is fucking evil.

There were also policies that supported penalties for businesses employing unvaccinated workers, and people were denied life-saving medical procedures because of their vaccination status. That's extortion and murder.

Treatments such as ivermectin were heavily criticized and dismissed because if there was an effective treatment they wouldn't receive their emergency use authorization for the vaccines.

And then there was the profit-driven fraud in the hospitals. If somebody died of cancer but they had COVID, it was listed as a COVID death. If somebody died in a car crash who had COVID, it was listed as a COVID death. If somebody walked into the ER with a broken arm and even had a trace of COVID in their system, it was listed as a COVID-related hospitalization.

So tell me, you fucking idiots... what are you defending?

People on the right despise Fauci. He ruined lives. He caused people to get fired. He caused  members of the military to be discharged. He caused permanent learning and earning loss for students denied in-school learning. He had loved ones die in hospital beds surrounded by strangers. He shut down businesses and churches. He destroyed the reputations of doctors and other professionals who disputed his many statements about the need for and the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. His gain of function research helped create the pandemic—and he tried to blame a “wet market.” He knowingly lied about the availability and effectiveness of treatments. He enriched himself by applying for and receiving cash government payments during the pandemic. His diaries reveal how he blatantly, knowingly and intentionally lied to the public. 

The difference between right and left is that people on the right won’t send anyone out to shoot him.
