"only a day later, it couldnβt wait to pass another bill that will give companies much more authority over who benefits from solar. Assuming this becomes law, what has been a quite-literal bright spot for many trying to lower their electric bills will become a lot dimmer."
Now the bill will move on the governor's desk to be signed into law. Can you take a few minutes today to email the governor and ask him to stop this bill once and for all? https://t.co/hR9gLrXhnW
Late last night the House voted to recede on amendment 1 and pass SB100. It was a dirty move to wait until the evening on the second to last day of the session and to go back on deal that was made between house democrats and house republicans to not pass an un-amended bill.
Our hard work was not unnoticed. In addition to several legislators mentioning the threat of climate change while explaining their votes, several legislators said they were proud to vote no because of the hundreds and hundreds of calls & emails they received from you.
@SavannahLMaddox@cedmassey@RTravisBrenda @stevesheldonky Most studies show that solar is improving the grid & worth more than the retail rate. Without HFA1 we can't be assured that benefits will be included in the valuation process. Do not recede #SB100 https://t.co/XxgDggTX3g
@deanna_ky@BunchGina @SmithMatt22 Most studies show that solar is actually improving the grid and worth more than the retail rate. Without HFA-1 we can't be assured that benefits will be included in the valuation process. Do not recede #SB100#KYGA19 https://t.co/XxgDggTX3g

Small businesses are going to be hit hardest by SB100. We have 19 solar businesses across the state, most of whom say that net metering roll-backs is the number one threat to their business. Give the little guy a chance. Do not recede. #Sb100#KYGA19 https://t.co/gMUQrlog9J
The solar industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country and is an opportunity to put Kentuckians to work in good paying, safe jobs. Can we wait until next year for a real compromise? Do not recede on #SB100#kyga19
@SavannahLMaddox@cedmassey@RTravisBrenda @stevesheldonky low-income folks who are using solar to take control of their electric bills will also be hurt by this bill. Currently KYians can do this in a reasonable timeframe, SB100 would eliminate that option. Do not recede
