@FrMatthewLC So marriage and confession are invalid, I’m assuming the Eucharist is too? Also, are the sacraments retroactively invalid, or just the sacraments moving forward.
A good friend was beaten by her ex-husband. She said she knew whether or not she’d be hit that night by how he slammed the car door when he got home from work. Abuse isn’t about your actions, it’s about their failings; you can’t control a man’s abuse by being “good”
In the old days, if a woman had a husband who was angry and volatile she would handle it by being submissive, keeping the peace, and guiding the kids to behave so they didn’t anger him.
The modern feminist approach to having a husband with anger issues is to divorce him and leave the kids to navigate his volatility on their own during visitation.
We’ve been trained to view divorce only through the lens of what's best for the woman, but isn't the traditional approach actually better for the children?
the idea that if you are scared of having a disabled kid then you shouldn't have any kids is insane, having a disabled kid can be a fucking terrifying experience and there are a lot of parents who are simply not equipped for it. there is not as much room for error!!!
if you're wondering why there has been an explosion in ABA clinic enrollment, consider:
-lots of those children need 1:1 care
-school districts are underfunded and rarely provide 1:1s
-they provide summer therapy/care for kids that daycares and summer camps will not serve.

Now gas is $6 a gallon, Putin opened the oldest vault, and nearly extinct diseases are back.
@bobbyfijan@Kellieherring@emilykmay I agree with Emily. Having mess makes life a lot harder. If you have to clean the Tupperware bc it’s dirty when packing lunch it makes it 10x harder. If your dog pukes on the carpet and the carpet hasn’t been vacuumed the extra hair/dirt gets up in the bissel. Clean=easier
