I spoke to a young ref today who was close to tears. He told me he was quitting after today, he said the players were amazing, but for 40 mins he felt bullied and intimidated by the adults. This was an U7 game. No where else in society is this acceptable. This has to STOP NOW.

Very proud of our lads today and the ref who came under constant pressure from @AFCSheldon first time I’ve seen one of our lads get bitten in a game but we rose above it and earned a point. Thank you to @Oak_Coro_League for providing such a strong ref.

To be fair 4/5 of our lads saw it happen which is why we called it out. I hope the guy who did it gets some help. It’s a Div 2 game not the World Cup final. He needs help.

@AFCSheldon He’s off for a tetanus, It’s the refs I worry about having to deal with that level of abuse every week. Checking our team sheet at the end, claiming we are playing ineligible players. Very embarrassing
