Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis announced the court ordered Adam Scott Threlkeld held on a $5 million bond last week after the Milwaukee Repeat Felon came to Kenosha Sept 20, randomly shot a bar patron killing him, then began shooting at police officers when they arrived. Body cameras were worn. Threlkeld made his initial court appearance today. Unfortunately for this Milwaukee felon, Kenosha does not offer tablets to the inmates.

FORMER BRADFORD HIGH SCHOOL SUBSTITUTE TEACHER SENTENCED TO PRISON AND ORDERED TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER
Alexander Poyner, 33 years old, a former Bradford High School substitute teacher, was sentenced today to prison and ordered to register as a sex offender following his conviction for criminal conduct involving a 15-year-old Bradford High School student.
Poyner was formally charged by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office in February 2025 following an investigation into sexually explicit Instagram communications between Poyner and the 15-year-old student.
Poyner worked as a substitute teacher at Bradford High School in Kenosha. He also worked as a substitute teacher at Nicolet High School and in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District.
According to the criminal complaint, the messages were exchanged between September and October 2024 and included repeated discussions of sexual acts, sexual preferences, bondage, submission, buying an African slave, and other sexually explicit subjects.
Among the communications documented in the criminal complaint, Poyner told the 15-year-old student:
“Too bad yoh straight and too young.”
In another exchange, Poyner demonstrated that he understood the significance of the student’s age, writing:
“Shii I hope it ain’t me, I’m not trying to catch a case but when someone turns 18, the gloves are off. No diddy FR”
When the student asked what Poyner meant, Poyner responded:
“I give a certain graduation gift to those who might want it
So….. right back to you!! LMAO”
The criminal complaint documents additional sexually explicit conversations between Poyner and the student. In one exchange, Poyner connected his sexual activity to his work around students, writing:
“NGL some days I really needed that cane, and it was hard to sit down at the desk
I did like standing in front of students knowing I was a nasty ass slut boy for a thug the night before
Made me feel dirty and happy”
In another exchange, Poyner wrote:
“Freak!
I support you
No matter what, I’m freakier
I know it”
He then told the student:
“Try me”
The complaint also documents Poyner discussing a sexual fetish involving “water sports” with the 15-year-old student. Poyner provided hints regarding the meaning of the term and referenced “some R. Jelly shit,” which the complaint identifies as a reference to R. Kelly.
The criminal complaint also documents a disturbing exchange involving race, slavery, and sexual activity. Poyner wrote to the 15-year-old student:
“Because your darker or you’re into kinky shit?
I would FR bought some sexy fine n***as but set them free
But woulda made they offer could live with me and not be a slave, but gotta give me that Afro dick when I need it. Lmao
I’m terrible
Why am I like this?”
The exchange included Poyner discussing buying an African slave for sexual purposes and was among the numerous sexually explicit communications documented in the criminal complaint between Poyner and the 15-year-old student.
The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office will continue to aggressively prosecute individuals who abuse positions of trust or authority to engage in criminal sexual misconduct involving children. Protecting our students and holding offenders accountable will remain a priority of this office.
The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office thanks Kenosha Police Department, whose work resulted in Poyner being held accountable.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wilmot High School Student Pleads Guilty in Child Sxal Abuse Material Case
Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis announced that Jason Kotarba, a Wilmot High School student, pleaded guilty on July 23, 2026, to felony possession of child prnography/child sx*al abuse material.
Jason Kotarba was 16 years old when these crimes occurred. On October 21, 2025, after the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office successfully petitioned to have the defendant waived into adult court, Kotarba was charged in adult court with possession of child prnography/child sx*al abuse material.
According to the criminal complaint, Twin Lakes Police Detective Austin Sobczak began investigating after receiving two reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving material uploaded through Discord.
Detectives traced the internet address used for the uploads to Kotarba’s residence in Twin Lakes. Law enforcement later executed a search warrant and seized electronic devices from the residence.
According to the criminal complaint, Kotarba used a Discord account to exchange explicit files and communicate about the sxal exploitation of children. The complaint contained deeply disturbing allegations involving communications about the sxal exploitation of children.
The complaint alleged that Kotarba used a Discord account with the handle “switchbladefacefuck” to communicate about sexually exploiting young children.
Among the most disturbing was a message in which Kotarba said children between the ages of 3 and 10 were “the hottest,” while excluding babies because, he wrote, “their crying is annoying.” And “wonder if there's a video of a child getting gangr**e...that would be so hot”
Investigators also discovered that some of the material was connected to Kotarba’s school-issued Chromebook. According to the complaint, Kotarba admitted having adult p*rnography on the school device but initially denied possessing illegal material.
“The facts of this case are deeply disturbing,” District Attorney Solis said. “This was not a case involving material of someone his own age. The defendant was communicating about the sxal exploitation of children. That is exactly why my office successfully sought to have this defendant prosecuted in adult court.”
District Attorney Solis stated that the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office will argue for a sentence that reflects the seriousness of the offenses, the need to protect the public, the need to deter others from committing similar crimes, and the gravity of child sxal abuse material offenses.
“My office has changed the approach to these cases,” Solis said. “Historically, defendants in these types of cases often received low prison sentences. We are prosecuting child sxal abuse material cases aggressively because these crimes create demand for the continued exploitation of children and often reveal a deeper danger to the community.”
“These cases cannot be dismissed as ‘just pictures,’” Solis said. “Every image and video represents the abuse of a child. Research shows a serious overlap between child sxal abuse material offenses and hands-on child sxal abuse. These cases justify aggressive investigation, prosecution, supervision, and sentencing. Our office will continue to seek strong sentences for offenders who possess child sxal abuse material and exploit children.”
The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to protecting children, holding offenders accountable, and aggressively prosecuting individuals who possess child sxal abuse material.
