Parliament should be the last line of defense. That’s why we gave them constitutional power to impeach a president and any member of the executive. But now we have lost them to William Ruto. He has bought members & party leaders. He has ensured he has a dirty file on each member which he uses to blackmail them whenever they want to say something. The president now dishes development like birthday sweets. That’s why they follow him like simps. Praising him like a beautiful girl. Quarreling on who has said the most beautiful words to our president. I agree we should sweep that house clean.

But do we have a quality electorate in the village that can elect upright minds? No we don’t. So what do we do? CIVIC EDUCATION EVERYWHERE in toilets, in bars, in chama meetings, in funerals, on social media, on radio EVERYWHERE in every way possible. Before we can move forward we need a quality electorate. Quality citizens. Because we can impeach Ruto then elect a Hyena in his place if we don’t have a quality electorate.

Nobody listened, nobody cares and this says something. You devalue your industry you yourself will be trashed. Why is the health ministry not run by a farmer.

Following distress calls raised through the @LawSocietyofKe Toll Free Line, we set camp at Central Police Station, Nairobi, until 9pm yesternight, where several protestors had been held following arrest during the demonstrations. We held discussions with the OCS over the release of the protestors, but he insisted on holding the protestors overnight to allegedly enable their booking before release in the morning.

This morning, we reported to Central Police Station by 8am to follow up on the release. We were shocked to find that the peaceful protestors were booked with trumped-up charges of mugging. The police have offered no qualification of these allegations, and we therefore demand that the @ODPP_KE desist from allowing vexatious, false charges against the people of Kenya. Nevertheless, we will be in court for the arraignment of all those arrested and will defend them against these spurious claims.

Our teams across all 23 counties that reported demonstrations have been working diligently to ensure no protestors are detained unlawfully. We secured the release of protestors in Kitengela, Kahawa, and Mombasa and will continue to monitor the situation and offer relevant legal intervention. We urge members of the public to continue bringing information to our attention to enable expeditious action on our part.

It is good these issues are being raised because truth is many Engineers of integrity will avoid public service because they cant deal with such.
