5. Night Prayer and especially Witr (Do not be like so-and-so, who used to pray at night, then abandoned the night prayer)
Do Not Waste This Night
Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī حفظه الله said:
Tonight is the twenty-seventh night, and it is the most probable night for Laylah al-Qadr, as it is among the Last Ten and the Seven Remaining, and it is an odd night. Also, the Nabī’s efforts ﷺ were tremendous in it, he gathered his family for ṣalāh of qiyām in congregation, led his Ṣaḥābah in ṣalāh in congregation, and extended the ṣalāh in it from after ʿishāʾ until close to fajr.
Likewise, a number of the Ṣaḥābah, Allāh be pleased with them, used to have no doubt that it is Laylah al-Qadr, a group of the Salaf explicitly stated that it is Laylah al-Qadr, and a number of those who say that Laylah al-Qadr moves among the odd nights mentioned that it occurs the most in the twenty-seventh night. The proofs regarding it are also more than other nights.
As such, the deprived person is the person who wastes it.

2 Reasons for Duʿāʾ Being Answered Today
For the fasting person, there is a supplication that is not rejected, and on Friday there is an hour in which no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allāh for something, except that He grants it to him. These two times meet today, so make the most of both general and specific supplications, especially between ʿAṣr and Maġrib.
For some Muslims, Allāh has granted a third reason for their supplication being answered, which is the falling of rain. There are two times when supplications are never rejected: at the time of the call to prayer and under the rain.
So, O believers, be persistent in making Duʿāʾ and ask Allāh while being certain of His response.
