The extreme weather devastating Southeast Asia is a tragic reminder of the escalating impacts of climate change. The Maldives mourns the loss of lives and the destruction across Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

We are also extremely saddened by the tragic fire in Hong Kong that has claimed many lives. On behalf of the people of the Maldives, I extend heartfelt condolences to His Excellency President Xi Jinping, the Government, and the families of the victims.

We stand in solidarity with all affected, and commend the bravery of the rescue teams.

މަޝްރޫޢުތައް ނިންމުމަށް ސަރުކާރުން ވަރަށް ބޮޑު އަހައްމިއްޔަތުކަމެއް ދީގެން ނިންމައި، މިއަދު ހއ. ދިއްދޫ އިސްލާމީ މަރުކަޒު، މިސްކިތަކާއި އިސްލާމީ ކުތުބުޚާނާއަކާއި ކީރިތި ޤުރުއާނާ ބެހޭ ޤައުމީ މަރުކަޒުގެ ގޮތްޕަކާއެކު ހުޅުވިގެން ދިޔަ މި އުފާވެރި މުނާސަބަތުގައި ދިއްދޫގެ ލޮބުވެތި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ތަހުނިޔާ އަރިސްކުރަން.

ސަރުކާރުން މަސައްކަތްކުރަމުން މިދަނީ ބަރަކާތްތެރި ރަމަޟާން މަހުގެ ކުރިން ގިނަ މިސްކިތްތަކެއް ހުޅުވުމަށް. މިގޮތުން ސަރުކާރާއި ހެޔޮ އެދޭ ފަރާތްތަކުން ރާއްޖޭގެ އެކި ކަންކޮޅުތަކުގައި ބިނާކުރަމުންގެންދާ މަޝްރޫޢުތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން 15 ވަރަކަށް މިސްކިތުގެ މަޝްރޫޢު ނިމި ރަމަޟާންމަހުގެ ކުރިން އިރާދަކުރެއްވިއްޔާ ހުޅުވިގެންދާނެ. މީގެ ތެރޭގައި މާލޭގެ މިސްކިތަކާއި ހުޅުމާލެ ފޭސް 2 ގެ މިސްކިތްތެއް ވެސް ހިމެނޭނެ. އަދި ހުޅުމާލެ ފޭސް 2 ގައި ދާއިމީ މިސްކިތް މަދުކަމުން ދިމާވެފައިވާ ދަތިކަން ޙައްލުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އެތަނުގައި ދާއިމީ އިތުރު މިސްކިތްތަކެެއް ބިނާކުރުމުގެ ޢަމަލީ މަސައްކަތްވެެ��ް ޑިސެންބަރު މަހު ފެށިގެންދާނެ.

މިސްކިތްތަކާއި އިސްލާމީ މަރުކަޒުތައް ސަރުކާރުން ބިނާކުރުމުގެ މަޤުޞަދަކީ ރާއްޖޭގެ ކަންކޮޅުތަކުގައި އިސްލާމީ އެެއްބައިވަންތަކަން ޤާއިމުކޮށް އިސްލާމީ ހިދާޔަތާއި ނޫރާއި ސަގާފަތު ފެތުރުން. އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ދުޢާއަކީ މާތް ﷲ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ތައުފީޤު ދެއްވުން. އާމީން.

Strongly condemn Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, unarmed civilian vessels carrying vital humanitarian aid to Gaza. Such intimidation is unacceptable and must not be tolerated. Targeting a humanitarian convoy carrying relief to a population deprived of freedom and basic necessities is a grave affront to humanity and international law.

Through its repeated disregard for human dignity, showing neither mercy nor compassion, Israel has further isolated itself from the rest of the world.

We call on the international community to take decisive actions against Israel's gross and repeated violations of international law, which go far beyond the moral compass shared by humanity.

The Maldives stands in unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people in their just struggle for human right, justice, peace and security.
