The village of Pozieres was attacked on 23 July 1916 by the 1st Australian and 48th Divisions, and was taken on the following day.

The Sir John Monash Centre reopens today following the annual holiday closure. Normal winter opening hours will resume. The Centre is open 9.30am - 5.00pm, seven days per week (including public holidays).

Planning to visit before Christmas or in the new year?
From 17/12/18 - 13/1/19 we have our annual closure.
During our closure the Australian National Memorial and cemetery can still be visited, with the exception of the tower.
