A few years ago I watched quite a few atheist v creationist debates. A frequent area of disagreement came when the atheist came up against a bible presuppositionalist: “we start from the point that the bible is true (because the bible says it is true)”. 1/
@FondOfBeetles@wil_da_beast630 “Get” bigger helpings or “require/demand” bigger helpings?
I find it hard to believe that, in a developed world where food is not systematically in short supply, if we fed girls the same as boys they would grow taller.
I’d posit we’d have more overweight girls, not taller.
This sounds like a Schrödinger’s cancellation. On one hand there weren’t enough people there to mean it was cancelled. And if there were enough people, it was right that he was shut down because of the abhorrent subject matter @michaelpforan

Yes sure, that's why he was quoted by the Supreme Court in one of their most significant judgments of the century and then got a job at Oxford as an Associate Professor at the age of 31.
@podsavetheuk Why is it that you don’t think women deserve the right to have enforceable boundaries from any man who says he’s a woman?
Have you ever discussed the fact that certain pride organisations close to Sussex have had founders who’ve been imprisoned for crime against children?
@LoudBonnet Scottish councils going full on Leviticus on schoolgirls 👀
I know this (probably) isn’t their intention. But special facilities for menstruating girls would not be needed if they weren’t trying to make unisex toilets for the appeasement of trans lobby
Two shocking points were revealed in this judgment.
First, to their utter shame @LoveWestLothian actually submitted in their defence that they had special period toilets for girls. >>
@bindelj Wow, nothing says “inclusivity” more than hounding a woman while wearing 🐶 masks, face masks 😷 and making loud barking noises. A perfect display of their rabid rage!
(puns intended)
@JournalismSEEN What are the terms upon which a male can enter the ladies pond? Or vice versa a female entering the men’s? Surely one could sue for discrimination if some men are kept out but others who identify as trans are allowed in…
This is a confusing letter @sianberry.
I have some questions:
1. You’re asking for legislative action in response to a non-legislative Code. Assuming it’s the Equality Act you want to change, does it follow that you accept that the Code accurately reflects the Act as it is?
@stellacreasy The creep of SIs? This procedure has been on the statute book for 20yrs & has been used for every other @EHRC Code (there are several).
Of course you can object, but we're entitled to know what the objection is.
Is the Code unlawful, or is the law wrong?
@microengineer@HLConservatives@edvaizey Quick check are you referring to the EHRC or the ECHR? Similar acronyms, different functions. The above statement is regarding the former (Equalities and Human Rights Commission) and the code for service providers.
In any event, the question remains: why stop the Code of Practice?
Is it because (1) you think it’s unlawful, or (2) you think the law is wrong?
If you think the Code is unlawful, how does it depart from the EqA2010?
If you think the law’s wrong, how do you want it changed?
@reformparty_uk How’s that community note going?
Taking a quote out of context to smear an opponent is not a good look!
Entirely predictable, but not good…
@ThomasWillett9 Reject the guidance and the law is still the law. But service providers would have no formal guidance on how to act in line with the law
When you say the community “were hoisted under a spotlight”, you’re suggesting it was GC groups doing the hoisting.
But not trans awareness week, day of remembrance, visibility. Or indeed the flags, all the flags… literally hoisted in front of everyone, eroding their rights
