@FavaAnthony@zoeschimke Lots of singles are actively trying to find a spouse.
Many Christian women complain that it's hard to find a man that's not addicted to porn and video games. Some have lost hope that they will find one.
@stephen_la73788@GarrettPetersen Roddenberry came from the view, popular in his day, that people were basically good, it's just their environment that makes them bad.
So for him, make a perfect society and people will be perfect. 🫠
Thanks for Palmer rec, I'll seek out her books 👍
@cyberghostface@wompstompfilms Oh, I may, but I'm on the fence.
It's more like, do I want t take time to go to the theater or catch it later?
I do want to support stuff like this that's more independent (like @wompstompfilms !) but I'm also exhausted with work to do.
I didn't see Hail Mary until last week
@spanglermt The criticism of porn & video game addicted men is what I've heard from faithful Christian women who want a Christian husband.
It's not a trope. Statistics are that 70+% of men have viewed porn in the last week.
Evading the issue by calling young women whores doesn't solve it.
@spanglermt We can also have a whole thing about women and play 'whataboutism' all day. That's all over the internet always.
But they aren't wrong about most young men being porn and video game addicts.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
@Hazcan159@RMBee It certainly was.
It's been running on the fumes of its Christian past, for sure.
But even the king doesn't consider himself Defender of the Faith, but of faithS.
And like I said, when mosque attendance has been higher than church attendance for years, it's defacto not Xtian
@MasterMaliq "His mission wasn't to become God"
You are absolutely right about this, and Christians agree with you 🤝
He didn't become God. He was divine from all eternity. He took on flesh and entered the world he created. He suffered evil, died and rose again, to rescue sinners like us.
@JJ_Denhollander I agree with you
But I'm not sure where we got the widespread, perhaps nieve, idea that "the whole point of higher education is the formation of thinkers"
