Interesting scam pulled off by a restaurant called “Dosa Chicken Curry” with full support of @zomato

I ordered the dish “Dosa Chicken Curry 2pcs” and they did not send me the chicken curry.

@zomatocare support denied refund stating the restaurant is not picking up calls.

@zomatocare Turn of events - without consulting me, @zomatocare issued a coupon with the same value as item price for the restaurant.

I don't even stay in that neighbourhood, I was visiting. Why was the refund processed as a coupon without my consent?

What exactly is going on here?

Upon firmly pressing the staff, and multiple back and forth, they mentioned an option of raising a request for callback tomorrow.
Why was this resolution not presented from @zomato end @deepigoyal?
This is clearly a dark pattern and I'm registering a case on consumer forum.

The only one that I genuinely liked was the garlic dosa from Rameshwaram, rest is almost always soft and soggy, even when I ask for crispy dosa.

Absolute harassment by @DunzoIt @DunzoCare at 1.30 in the AM. I ordered smokes worth Rs. 165 and they delivered chocolates worth Rs. 40.

On complaining, the support executive (Siddharth) was extremely unprofessional and kept me waiting for 5 mins to reply after every text.
