SRB2 has a huge headstart and more available currently.
We intend to start simple with code mods and add features as modders and devs use it.
Character mods might be close but at the moment we don't have support for coded gamemodes/objects.

Custom Code Mods!
Earlier this year, we've announced custom code mods for characters via Angelscript, but our examples were simple.
Here's an example of a character mod with a fully custom and unique moveset coded in Angelscript!

Chao imported from older World and World DX versions will have its revival count increased, which means it will take less reincarnations to make a Chaos Chao.
Stat Grades will be random, with the stat points calculated based on it.

You can also import Chao from Sonic World. Whether it be the 2.0, older DX versions, or legacy releases. Stats will be upgraded.

DX Chao will need to be manually put in the save folder for import, but Sonic World savedata is automatically detected and imported!

When 2.0 drops, you can import Chao from other DX users via file. Additionally, you can import SADX and SA2B Chao exported via a Chao editor!
Do note, it's only one-way, as our Chao are not as feature-rich as the official Chao Gardens!

On the mod side, we have shown before custom body Chao will be supported via mods.
If you import a Chao with a CWE body mod, and have a SWDX body mod with the same id, it will correctly match.*

*Silver Chao is a test and not planned for the game

Importing partially supports Chao World Extended Chao, supporting extended names and the X grade!
Default CWE accessories will also be converted to the closest matching SWDX accessories.

You can also get X grade stats in DX via the Hyper Fruits in the shop, just like CWE!
